Brief bio
I am a consultant clinical psychologist and researcher, who loves to share psychology ideas.
I’ve worked in the NHS and third sector, and am currently a Clinical Academic Fellow at Bath University, making an intervention to reduce compassion fatigue and improve compassionate care in staff who work in mental health wards for teenagers.
I’m available for comment in print, and on TV or radio. Things I can talk about include:

Winner of the 2021 Hearsay Audio Festival Human Prize for my audio piece Baby Talk.

I’ve written articles about psychology for publications including Prospect, The Guardian, Mosaic, BBC Science Focus, and The Times. I was a British Science Association Media Fellow in 2013.
