  • I’m an experienced lecturer and speaker

  • I regularly give talks about the books which I have written, to non-academic audiences, e.g. British Science Festival, Aye Write in Glasgow, Shute Festival in Devon and The Compassion Salon online.

  • Academically, I’ve lectured on clinical psychology and/or science communication for UCL, King’s College London, Royal Holloway, UEL and Bristol, and I convened am MSc module on child development for five years at the Anna Freud Centre.

  • I’ve been a panellist and discussant at various events, e.g the International Conference for Science Journalists (pictured above) and an after-play discussion at The Southwark Playhouse with Claudia Hammond.

  • I was part of the Talent Factory communication and performance development programme, 2021 which is all about making science accessible, and included training and experience in science comedy.
